The results are in for the “How many virtual machines do you have running?” poll.

What was interesting about this poll (other than the 6% of readers who don’t have any virtual machines) was how it changed over time. When I first posted it, it appeared on the VMWare site and the results were heavily skewed toward higher numbers of virtual machines. The greater than 100 response was actually the leader for the first week or so. Over time the 1-10 bracket boosted ahead and stayed there. That in it self isn’t really surprising, but it does show a very clear difference between people who are following VMWare and those with a more general interest in virtualization.
