Open Ticket Request System Virtual Appliance Released

Tarry Singh has released a new virtual appliance for the Open Ticket Request System (OTRS). From the OTRS site.

OTRS is an Open source Ticket Request System (also well known as trouble ticket system) with many features to manage customer telephone calls and e-mails. The system is built to allow your support, sales, pre-sales, billing, internal IT, helpdesk, etc. department to react quickly to inbound inquiries. Do you receive many e-mails and want to answer them with a team of agents? You’re going to love the OTRS!

    The .vmx file seems to be missing.

    The included 1KB file “fc4″ with no extension IS the .vmx file. Simply rename it with a .vmx extension and it works great.

    This gave me grief as well. Tarry sent me the fix very quickly when I emailed him.

    i can’t login with id user root and password sysadmin

    I’ve fixed the issue. Uploaded the new appliance to the site. And also you can soon download the OTRS XenSource Appliance as well. There will also be other formats available on request.

    Username/password works: Heck I also displayed it in a remote village in Africa :) . Just load the appliance and log on to the http.
